A Bite of Brazil Flagship

Our clients dreamed of creating an authentic experience of Brazilian culture and hospitality in Edmonton – by building a coffee shop that was distinct from any other in the city. Brazil is one of the most culturally diverse countries in the world; like its namesake, A Bite of Brazil brings together disparate elements to create a unique visual and spatial experience.

Through careful layering of dynamic elements – light fixtures selected for their resemblance to the Brazilian flag, botanical wallcovering representative of the rainforest, metal canopy inspired by both city life and soaring trees – we filled the cafe with energy while maintaining cohesion. The result is a fresh, joyful space which has won the hearts of the community.

Bold Gesture: It doesn’t get much more bold than the colourful botanical wallcovering we specified! The key to keeping it appropriately scaled for the tiny interior was to balance it with contemporary shapes and neutral finishes.
